Homeschool Classes in Ventura County

Creative Art, Science & History Enrichment for Homeschool Students

Welcome to Homeschool Makers!

Registration for Fall 2026 Goes Lives June 1st!

Are you a homeschool family looking for opportunities for creativity, connection, and community? Homeschool Makers at Glitter Barn is a hands-on homeschool enrichment program serving families throughout Ventura County, including Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Ojai, Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks, and surrounding areas. Our weekly classes feature our signature Art-Powered Learning approach, blending art, science, history, and hands-on maker projects in a warm, welcoming studio environment where kids can create, explore, build friendships, and learn through meaningful experiences. Each week, students explore engaging maker projects inspired by either science and the natural world or history, geography, and world cultures while experimenting with new artistic materials, tools, and techniques. Classes run from 9am–1pm during the fall and spring and include social time during lunch in our homeschool lounge and outdoor spaces, making Homeschool Makers both a creative learning experience and a vibrant homeschool community. We accept homeschool charter funds through Blue Ridge Academy, Golden Valley Charter School, iLEAD, Heartland Charter School, Sage Oak Charter School, and Peak Prep Pleasant Valley. Sibling and multi-class discounts are available, though space is limited and sessions often fill quickly.

Do We Register Using Charter School Funds?

If you are new student, please email [email protected] to confirm spaces are available in the classes you are interested in. If spaces are available, we will provide you with a registration code to register online using your charter funding without having to pay any fees. Please note that you must register online through our registration portal in addition to requesting the PO from your charter school. Requesting a PO from your school does not guarantee you a spot in the class if you have not registered through our registration portal.

Returning families, we are happy to copy your registration over for you in our registration portal. Please just email requesting to be added to the class.  Note that your registration is not final until we have received verification of your payment request through your charter school. If you do not show you have requested payment for the class prior to the first day of class, we may have to drop you from the class as we often have waitlists. Thanks in advance for sending your PO along as early as you can so we can confirm your registration.

All students must have a purchase order from your school authorizing funding for classes prior to registration.

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

Please register only if you are reasonably certain that your child will be attending. Our classes have limited enrollment, and each reserved spot prevents another family from participating. Last-minute withdrawals make it difficult for us to fill openings and accurately plan for staffing, supplies, and program costs.  To help us keep our classes affordable for the homeschool community, and to allow us to let families enroll prior to funding being released without any out-of-pocket fees, we kindly ask that families enroll only in classes they genuinely intend to attend and avoid withdrawing at the last minute whenever possible. Thank you for helping us create a sustainable program that can continue serving local homeschool families.

Families interested in enrolling in more than one Homeschool Makers class per week are welcome to do so with prior approval. Because our classes often have waitlists, we ask that you contact us before registering for multiple days. Duplicate registrations made without prior approval may be canceled, as multiple enrollments are sometimes submitted accidentally.

Thank you for helping us create the best possible experience for our local homeschool families!
